Grace Sparkes Activity Center Gymnasium

Residents and property owners within the corporate limits of the City of Prescott may purchase an annual entry pass, allowing the bearer unlimited entry.
- Annual Pass (Residents of Prescott) $40.00

Annual pass must be shown at time of entry to attendant on duty, and displayed while vehicle is parked. Temporary pass will be issued at entry and must be displayed while vehicle is parked. If park visitor is not carrying their annual pass, day use fee must be paid to attendant on duty.
Camping Fees (Summer & Watson Lake Park only)

A “campsite” is defined as a maximum of four persons, with a maximum of two vehicles. Park ranger will collect camping fees and issue the current shower code at time of payment. Showers are for paying customers only.
Ramada Rentals
Ramadas in City parks can be reserved for small or large groups, for an entire day or less. A reservation ensures your group of exclusive use of the ramada, and allows staff advance notice so that we can prepare for your group’s arrival. We offer a 25% discount to City of Prescott residents (bring your City water bill or Yavapai County Assessor’s Office tax bill when you make your reservation to identify you as a resident of Prescott).

Certain parks feature volleyball courts and horseshoe pits. Volleyballs and nets and/or horseshoes sets may be rented at the Reservation Programming Office, 824 E. Gurley St., upon availability. A $50.00 equipment deposit and $5.00 rental fee will be charged for each set of equipment.
Large Grass Areas
We have large grassy areas at Granite Creek Park and Watson Lake Park that can be reserved for large picnics, weddings, etc. A reservation fee will ensure your exclusive use of the area. Advance notice of your proposed event will allow us to control our irrigation schedules so that your event will take place uninterrupted by “controllable showers.” (25% discount to City residents – show City water bill or Yavapai County Assessor’s Office tax bill at time of reservation for discount)

An outdoor stage area at Watson Lake Park, including power pedestals for vendors, may be reserved by special arrangement. Please contact the office for more information. Rental fees and damage deposits will depend on the size and nature of the event, proposed admission fee, etc.
Tennis Courts
The general public may reserve city-owned and/or controlled tennis courts. Reserving tennis courts will guarantee availability. Individuals may not utilize city facilities for profit making endeavors without entering into an agreement with the Recreation Division.

$100 per tournament request. Must accompany each request form. Deposit will be returned if tournament date is not granted
Tournament Request forms and deposit (one per each tournament) must be returned no later than December 21 of each year for priority. Any tournament director canceling their tournament reservation after March 31 will automatically forfeit their deposit.
All tournament directors are responsible for providing a certificate of liability insurance two weeks prior to the tournament, naming the City of Prescott as Certificate Holder and Additional Insured for no less than $1,000,000 general liability per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate. No tournament will be allowed to begin without providing proof of insurance or sanctioning. NO EXCEPTIONS.
All softball tournament directors have the option of using and paying scorekeepers, officials and supervisors who are employed by the City of Prescott at each field. If lights or scoreboard/announcing equipment is to be used, at least one city staff member, paid by the tournament director, must be present at each facility.
All tournament directors are responsible for providing a copy of the bracket three working days prior to the start of the tournament. This is necessary for the scheduling of field maintenance personnel and scorekeepers.
No tournament shall start prior to 8:00am on either Saturday or Sunday mornings. Tournament games may not start any later than to allow lights to shut off by 10:30pm.
All softball/baseball tournament directors are required to allow for 30 minute breaks, for fields to again be prepared, after three consecutive games are played on any one field.
Should the directorship change, the Parks & Recreation office must be notified immediately, giving the new contact person’s name, address and telephone number. That person would assume all the responsibilities as described herein.
Practices
- City League Teams $5 per 1-½ hours
- Non-City League Teams $10.00 per hour
- Organized Youth Teams No charge if lights are not needed
- $10 per hour if lights are used for practice or co-sponsored camp
- $20 per hour if lights and field prep are needed for practice or co-sponsored camp
Sports Camps
Includes sports camps and other special events that charge admission. Sports camps must provide free participation for two local children in addition to rental fees paid. All commercial special events must pay additional percentage of profits, terms to be negotiated with Recreation Services Director.

- Special Events $265 per event
Youth League Field Use
All Co-sponsored Youth Sporting Organizations will be afforded priority field utilization during established seasons of play.
- March through June – Baseball and Softball will have field priority
- August through November – Football and Soccer will have field priority
- Winter months will be scheduled only after traditional season sports provided field space is available
- Off-season sports will be scheduled only after traditional season sports provided field space is available
Field rest and maintenance are vital to the overall health of athletic fields. Certain conditions including but not limited to frozen ground, wet or snow covered turf, and over use may result in athletic field’s temporary closure. The decision by Parks, Recreation and Library Department staff to close any facility for the protection of the turf shall be final.
The City of Prescott will continue its policy of not charging youth teams for light use for all scheduled games. Youth Organizations may reserve facilities, if available, for team practices. The hourly rate for practice field lighting is $10 per hour.
All teams are expected to adhere to field and light use policies.
