This five acre forest preserve located at 1751 Sherwood Drive, has hiking trails and gives access to the Butte Creek Trail. Take Gurley Street west until it changes to Thumb Butte Road as you pass the shopping center. After 1/2 mile turn left on Sherwood Drive, just after Hassayampa Village Drive then proceed to Stricklin Park. An archaeological / interpretive site is located within the park for educational purposes. The park is a good example of a natural (creekside) riparian area.
* Off-Season hours are from the Tuesday after Labor Day through the Friday before Memorial Day.
** Summer hours are from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
