Burn Permits

Fire Danger is currently set to Low. Burn Permits are available.

This process issues burn permits for burns within the City of Prescott and Central Yavapai Fire District ONLY.*

Commercial burn permits must be approved through the appropriate agency:

  • City of Prescott
    Prescott Fire Department's Prevention office at 2086 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, AZ 86305 928-777-1760
  • Central Yavapai Fire District
    Central Yavapai Fire District Prevention office at 8555 E Yavapai Road, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 928-759-9933

You may apply for a burn permit in one of two ways:

  1. In person at any Fire Station, or
  2. Online, using our application form.

In order to apply online, you must have a current, active email. Applying online is a 3 step process:

  1. Read and agree to the conditions for burning.
  2. Submit your burn information.
  3. Receive your permit number via email.

Chino Valley
A Burn Permit may be obtained at the Fire Station at 1133 W Road 3 North in Chino Valley or 250 Sweet Valley Road in Paulden between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
