Trails Volunteers

over-the-hillThe Over the Hill Gang is an all volunteer group dedicated to the construction and maintenance of the Great Prescott Area trails. The group was established in the 1990’s in conjunction with Yavapai Trails Association and the Prescott National Forest. Trail work is on Mondays and Fridays with the City of Prescott and Thursdays with the Prescott National Forest. There are often special projects on the other days.

Trails Work Schedule

The OHG will be meeting at the south Peavine parking area at 8AM on Monday, June 24. We will be car pooling to the work location(s). The parking area is off of Prescott Lakes Parkway and Highway 89 near the Yavapai Humane Society. Coming up on Saturday July 6 is the Frontier Days Rodeo Parade. The Over the Hill Gang and the Parks Rangers will again be participating in the parade. Our starting position this year is 44 which will be about 45 minutes after the 9AM beginning. We will prepare our trailer with banners and decorations on Friday, July 5 at the Armory. The annual Parks and Trails volunteers picnic is scheduled to be 11AM - 1PM on Wednesday, July 31 at the scenic Goldwater Lake ramada.
