Extremely cold temperatures and chance of snow Thursday evening

Snow showers and extremely cold temperatures are expected Thursday night with a low of 25 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent with new snow accumulation of one to two inches. Additionally, the National Weather Service is forecasting high winds through Monday. Colder temperatures are expected Friday evening, with a low of 14 degrees. There is the potential for icy conditions.
Public safety is the City's number one priority. In preparation for the approaching winter storm, the City of Prescott Street Maintenance Division has inspected and installed plows on all plow vehicles. Crews are preparing to respond appropriately.
Residents should be prepared by maintaining adequate, food, water, and medical supplies. Residents and businesses are advised to observe city code and clear sidewalks of snow and ice in front of their properties as soon as possible.
