Summer reading program at the library
Summer reading program at the library

Summer is the perfect time to read just for fun! At Prescott Public Library, you can still register for the 2012 Summer Reading Program. This year's theme is Our State, Our Story: Celebrating 100 Years of Arizona, and there is a program for children, teens, and adults. Registering is easy: online, by visiting the Library, or calling the Youth Desk (777-1537).

Children who read, or who read with a grown-up, for 15 minutes each day can collect weekly prizes at the Youth Desk and submit book reviews to the Summer Reading Program website. This is also your chance to put your face to an Arizona character's body, thanks to PPL's resident artist, Russ Miller. Show us your reading log and you can have your picture made as one of these funny Wild West characters.

Russ Miller is a caricaturist and illustrator of The Big Book of Spy Stuff, and he's sharing his talent with us this summer.

The Summer Reading Program prizes, programs, and publicity are funded entirely through the generosity of Friends of the Prescott Public Library.

For more information, please contact the library's Youth Services desk at 777-1537.

Prescott Public Library serves more than 500,000 residents and visitors a year. Check the library's [online events calendar](http://www.prescottlibrary.info}, or call 777-1500 for more information.
