Prescott National Forest Announces "Fee Free Day"

Prescott, AZ (November 6, 2009) In honor of Veteran's Day and those Americans who have served in the armed forces to protect us and our national heritage, Prescott National Forest will waive day-use recreation fees across the forest on Wednesday, November 11. As a reminder to the public every Wednesday is a "fee-free" day at all Prescott National Forest day-use recreation areas.

All fees will be waived at Lynx Lake, Granite Basin, Thumb Butte, Mingus Lake, Hayfield Draw and Alto Pit day use areas. The waiver does not apply to overnight campgrounds, group use fees or fees charged by concession-operated facilities.
