City to Consider Bonding for Interchange Project

The $17 million Highway 89A/Side Road (Granite Dells Parkway) interchange project may be financed through the bonding process, according to the city's Budget and Finance Department. Monies will be paid back using the current 1-percent sales tax which sunsets in 2015— then picks up in 2016 as the voter approved 0.75-percent extension for streets. The extension runs for thirty years.
The issue is likely to come before Council for a vote on November 10.
