Prescott National Forest: Prescribed Burn November 5, 2009

Today fire managers plan to treat 2500 acres of the Grapevine RX. The Grapevine RX is located south of Potato Patch Campground; west of Ash Creek, and north of Tex Canyon. Due to the large scale of the burn, aerial ignition will be used again today. Smoke will be visible in the surrounding communities.
Fire officials treated approximately 2200 acres on Tuesday, and 2500 acres on Wednesday.
