Come join us for an exciting evening to celebrate and enjoy the charm and elegance of Mendelssohns music. Criticized by his contemporaries for being too pretty and classical, it is exactly these qualities that listeners find most appealing about his music still today. On the anniversary of his two hundredth birthday, we honor Mendelssohn with instrumental works, choral pieces, piano solos and an assortment of his beautiful songs; musical gems that have inspired and delighted audiences for two centuries.
